About Vokab Kompany

Vokab Kompany is two MC/singers from San Diego, backed by their four-piece band of awesome. Their live show combines multiple synths/keys with bass/drums and a violin to create a sound that doesn't quite adhere to a specific genre, but seems to fit the bill with several. The live show interprets Vk albums which feature production from a multitude of universally acclaimed producers, such as; members of pop rock sensation Cage the Elephant, DubStep Phenom Stephan Jacobs, Hip Hop legends Hieroglyphics, downtempo legend Random Rab and the list continues across the spectrum of Electronic/pop and hip hop genres.

At this show, Vokab Kompany is backed by Crush Effect, the production and instrumentation duo who have produced music for numerous national TV shows, movies and commercials in addition to playing keys for Karl Denson's Tiny Universe and Saxophone for SFX.

About Gene Washington and the Ironsides

Developed in 2010 by SF Bay Area natives, brothers Max and Joe Ramey, The Ironsides originated as a studio project dedicated to the revival of 60’s and 70’s soul music, with emphasis on a vivid cinematic, soundtrack vibe. Since the recording of their first 45 record released by the acclaimed Colemine Records, The Ironsides have moved into Soul with a capital “S” harkening back to the golden days of Stax and Motown. Now accompanied by diamond-in-the-rough front man and lady killer, Gene Washington brings to The Ironsides the tenacity of his vocal talent with a raw, authentic, and soulful sound.
