"The Documentary Film Institute (DocFilm) at San Francisco State University (SFSU) and the San Francisco Film Society are happy to announce the launch of the Veteran Documentary Corps Program with the release of seven new short veteran documentaries with stories ranging from WWII to our current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The screening will take place at the historic Castro Theatre in San Francisco on February 11th, 2014. Before the screening, a limited amount of tickets is available for admission to an exclusive reception held in the mezzanine area of the Castro. Guests are encouraged to mingle and will have an opportunity to give to future veteran story projects. Hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served during the reception, and following the screening audience members will have a chance to interact with filmmakers and veteran subjects in an onstage panel discussion.
Tickets for both the screening and the screening plus reception are available through the Veteran Documentary Corps’ website, http://www.veterandocs.org. SFSU students and veterans may attend the screening free of charge by registering through the website or by showing their ID at the door."
