Description

After college, Malcom and Lily temporarily move in with Malcom’s grandparents Bart and Miriam as part of their “active adult” community in New Jersey. What is supposed to be a temporary stop on their way to New York soon becomes a time of crisis that finds all four questioning their futures. As Malcom and Lily stumble through their beginnings, Bart seeks a new sense of excitement as he nears his end. Boosted by fantastic performances from Dominic Chianese (Uncle Junior from The Sopranos) and rising newcomers Lola Kirke and Jonathan Rosen (who also provides the film’s breathtaking animations), this is a story about how no one ever has it all figured out. Helmed by Aaron Fisher-Cohen (director of New York Times Critic’s Pick Damn!) and featuring Cassandra Jenkins’ original song “Up in Flames,” All There Is walks the bittersweet line between life’s desires and expectations, proving you’re never too old to grow up. -Martin Malloy
