Documentary Intensive for High Schoolers
August 5-9, 11am-4pm
Documentary films give us a glimpse of people we never knew, tell stories that might otherwise go unnoticed, shape the way we view the world, and inspire us to take action. Students will work together to highlight a Westchester-area nonprofit organization. They’ll learn about all elements of documentary filmmaking – research, storyboarding, camera operation, interview techniques, point of view, and style – and will film in class and on location in Westchester. The student producers will be credited with making the film, will receive a digital copy to use in their own portfolios, and are eligible to receive service credit hours for the class.
$500 admission, $400 for members
