This November, Stumptown becomes Humptown as A Touch Too Much Productions brings the Paul Verhoeven cult classic Showgirls to The Hollywood Theatre as a two-hour musical spectacular!

Based on the “so-bad it’s good” film, Showgirls the Musical made it’s stage debut in Chicago during the fall of 2012. Salivating fanatics of the film—many of whom helped fund the project via Kickstarter–helped spread the word resulting in a sell-out show two nights in a row. After a successful run in the Windy City, producer John-Ryan Griggs moves the show to Portland where it has been recast with local talent and amplified to better fit the Hollywood Theatre.

“We couldn’t just drag Nomi out without getting her a few new thongs and putting a fresh coat of pain on those fierce nails of hers,” says Griggs. “We’re thrilled to be bringing the show to such a beautiful theatre, and can’t wait to give Portland a night they won’t soon forget.”

Showgirls the Musical stars Kristin Barrett (Zompocalypse: Dead End) as Nomi Malone: a dancer who hitch-hikes her way to Las Vegas to make it big dancing as a showgirl, but not before pushing  Cristal Connors—played by Jaime Langton (Portlandia, The Roomies)—down a flight of stairs to take her diamond encrusted feather headdress.
