Anti-Valentine's Day Power Ballad Sing A Long
Some of us just can't stand Valentine's Day. Fortunately, there is an entire genre of music made just for our pain, and it just happens to also be the most badass music ever: POWER BALLADS. We'll sing, we’ll hold lighters in the air and sway, we'll pound our fists at the sky in defiance of those who would dare not love us. Featuring the music of Journey, Guns 'n Roses, Bon Jovi, Warrant, and many many more.
The Big Lebowski (with Shadow Cast!)
The 14th annual Big Lebowski Party takes place again this year at Brava Theater with Bawdy Caste (who to Rocky Horror every month at the Clay Theater on Fillmore and the Guild Theater in Menlo Park) performing the film Live! On Stage! while the movie plays on the big screen. Take part in the Costume Contest, win prizes with your Lebowski Trivia knowledge and of course have yourself a White Russian or two.
Mad Max: Silent Fury
Using synths, acid lines, drum machines and audio samples from the movie The Firmament, San Francisco electronic music duo Renzo Gorrio (IDP) and Marky Ray (Brass Tax) provide a live electronic score to Furiosa's escape from Immortan Joe. Buckle up while she smuggles precious cargo to her homeland and runs into desert thunderstorms, tornadoes, psychotic villains, frankensteined muscle cars, and a quiet drifter named Max. Director George Miller said the film is meant to be seen in black and white, which we assume he means quite literally, therefore: black & white dress is HIGHLY encouraged!
Mission B.A.G (Bad Art Gallery)
