Keith David -
with over 150 film,
television and stage credits to his name, Keith David continues to defy the
odds with his ability to remain in demand across an astounding variety of
entertainment mediums. Mr. David’s impressive list of on screen feature film
roles including Platoon, There’s Something About Mary, and Barbershop. In television he has been
series regular on many sitcoms and received an Emmy Award nomination for The Tiger Woods Story. Noted for his
deep, commanding voice, another dimension of Keith’s career holds him as an
Emmy winning voice over artist for documentaries such as Jackie Robinson and Ken Burns’ Jazz.
As a native New Yorker, Mr. David has extensive stage experience. His studies
in voice and theater at the prestigious Juilliard School of Drama garnered him
a 1992 Tony® Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical for his
role in the classic Broadway play Jelly's Last
Jam. As if all of this wasn’t enough, Keith David is also an
accomplished singer/songwriter with his own band.
Tonight Mr. David transforms into Joe
Williams to celebrate the legendary vocalist. The performance will be filled
with humor and stories of Williams’ life. Along with a big band, David will
perform classic tunes made famous by Williams during his time with the Count
Basie Orchestra.
