Beginner Hip Hop with Cho Knight

An all-levels hip hop class focused on groove, foundational street dance technique, musicality, and freestyle. Dancers will develop rhythm, body awareness, and confidence through structured exercises and open exploration in a supportive community environment.

Bio:
Cho (they/she) is a multidisciplinary artist and dance
educator from Cleveland, OH, where they are currently based. With a foundation
in hip hop, contemporary, and modern dance, Cho has been committed to their
professional dance practice since 2015. Cho is an elite member of the hip hop
and street dance platform 10kMovement, through which they have taught
workshops, participated in freestyle battles, and performed within the street
dance community. In 2021, they had the honor of performing with Raphael Xavier,
an award-winning artist and alumnus of the world-renowned hip hop dance company
Rennie Harris Puremovement. Cho lived in New York City for two years, where
they deepened their hip hop practice through collaborations and teaching,
including leading classes at Modega Studio in Queens, NY. Cho has served and
continues to serve as Adjunct Dance Faculty (Professor) in the Dance Department
at Baldwin Wallace University, and has also taught dance in after-school youth
programs. Rooted in community, authenticity, and lifelong learning, their work
bridges generations through movement—honoring legacy while nurturing the next.
