Description

Based on a true story, this tale about the desire to be loved and to belong is told from the perspective of a feral boy confronting civilization for the first time. It raises fundamental questions of human nature: what makes us human and what turns us into beasts? What makes this story unique is its context, defined by Balkan wars at the end of the 20th century. In the early spring of 1988, hunters capture a wild boy among the wolves deep in the Bosnian mountains. Without an identity, the boy is randomly given the name Haris and dispatched to an orphanage in Belgrade. But in 1992, former Yugoslavia breaks apart and the Bosnian authorities demand his return.
