After eight years of making documentaries, Iran’s best-known female director Rakhshan Bani-Etemad returns to fiction with a feature that strings together a series of short stories that flirts with social critique in the everyday dramas of crushed hopes, addiction, abuse and love.
"Tales is a journey through seven lives & characters that make ends meet in not extraordinary circumstances, but in perfectly ordinary situations, just like the rest of us in the society. Tales is a review of people's fate & the social circumstances in the past three decades." (Rakhshan Bani-Etemad)
