Eran Riklis, one of Israel’s most acclaimed filmmakers, delivers a poignant coming-of-age story on the foundation of late 80s Israeli politics. Eyad, a boy from an Arab village, has the opportunity to attend a prestigious boarding school in Jerusalem. Eyad tries hard to fit in with the Jewish-Israeli culture, developing a close friendship with a young man with muscular dystrophy and falling in love with a Jewish girl. However, as Saddam Hussein's Scud missiles loom over the horizon, things start to shift for Eyad potentially changing his life forever.
