In 1996 shortly after the publication of Infinite Jest, Rolling Stone reporter David Lipsky engaged in a five-day interview with the book’s author David Foster Wallace. Never published, the interview, experience and shelved audiotapes became the basis for Lipsky’s memoir, "Although of Course You End Up Becoming Yourself," that he wrote following Wallace’s suicide. In his follow up to The Spectacular Now, James Ponsoldt brings humor, tenderness and poetic grace to this road trip conversation, with perfect casting of Jesse Eisenberg as Lipsky and an evocative Jason Segel as Wallace.
