Athina Rachel Tsangari gently rattles the cage of machismo in this cleverly funny chess game of egos. With no austerity in sight, Tsangari places her male microcosm on a yacht as six friends vacation and do what men do—scuba dive, drink, flex, and attempt to prove oneself. Rather than be covert about their competitiveness, the men decide to spend the remainder of their vacation deciding which among them is “the best in general” (or the chevalier), where all actions and appearances will be scrutinized for points—a gentlemanly contest that hilariously pushes privilege and pride to their breaking point.

"Tsangari has delivered another intriguing and thoroughly original character study, which this time serves as an apt metaphor for Greece's larger problems." - Indiewire
