Description

Arnulfo is a teenager transporting guns from the U.S. across the Mexican border for the drug cartel. Seduced by the power and glamour of the cartel, Arnulfo is eager to prove himself but clearly lacks unmerciful attitude of his idols. After a bust gone bad, Arnulfo panics and kidnaps an ATF agent (played by Tim Roth) back across the boarder, setting into motion a tense and fateful lesson for Arnulfo. First time director Gabriel Ripstein delivers an observational approach to the material that carefully examines the characters in a dangerous and desperate no-win situation.

Press

"Ripstein allows long stretches to go by in near-silence, gradually letting the tension build as the SUV travels farther south, deeper into potentially dangerous territory." - Variety
