Description

FLASH FREE SCREENING AT UPTOWN THEATRE

Special Guest Samantha "Princess Shaw" Montgomery Attending

In celebration of the festival's first year at the Uptown Theatre, we've made the April 12 screening of Presenting Princess Shaw at the Uptown Theatre free!

On one side of the globe, musician and video artist Ophir Kuiel, aka Kutiman, creates video mash-ups of amateur Youtube performers. On the other side of the globe, Samantha Montgomery, aka Princess Shaw, works as a caretaker for the elderly and in her free time writes and sings her own songs on her confessional YouTube channel. Israel and New Orleans magically come together in this powerful and inspiring documentary as Kutiman, unbeknownst to Princess Shaw, starts working on one of her raw a cappella videos. The result, via a viral video, reveals the bonafide star and the fight to never give up on her dreams.
