Ed, a police officer, and her husband Hi, an allegedly reformed criminal, can't have any kids of their own. Meanwhile, local businessman Nathan Arizona just had five kids. At once. That's just unfair.
It's around that time that Ed and Hi get a brilliant idea. Unfortunately, brilliant for them is everyone else's version of, "Don't do that," and in no time, things have got to full diapers in a baby bassinet.
To give you a hint of their madcap misadventures - Hi's former cellmates escape prison and come to visit and take the baby along to rob a bank, Hi turns to robbing convenience stores again to get diapers, and Ed turns into a reluctant getaway driver (just not when it would be convenient for Hi). On top of it all, a bounty hunter is after the baby with the intention of selling the kid on the black market.
