10 year-old Ji-so lives with her mom and little brother in a pizza truck and they don’t know where their dad is. Ji-so’s mom parks the truck around a good school and the family pretends to lead a ‘normal’ life. Seeing a missing dog poster with a hefty reward, Ji-so and her friend, Chae-rang, scheme to steal a rich person’s dog and collect the ransom so they can buy a real home. They target ‘Wolly’, the cherished pup of the wealthy older woman who owns the restaurant where Ji-so’s mother works.
Meanwhile, the old woman’s nephew is also involved in a dog-knapping plot and the two capers become intertwined. Who will steal and who will rescue Wolly, the dog? Will Ji-so and her mom and brother move out of the pizza truck into a real home? Based on the award-winning novel by Barbara O’Connor.
