Description

Seven year-old Dylan moves with his family to the small village of Barra de Potosi on the Mexican Pacific Coast where they are embraced by a close-knit community living on the white sandy beach. Using his iPad for a school project, Dylan learns about Sir Francis Drake’s bounty from 400 years ago. He and his new friends are certain that if they find the right map and ‘the X’, they’ll recover pirate treasure. The kids’ leisurely expedition includes many enviable distractions: a baby sea turtles hatch, playful hermit crabs, local music, a wildlife refuge, family meals at a beach cafe. When they finally boat out to find Drake’s treasure, they discover something even more valuable.

Tesoros is a film for children, parents and grandparents that celebrates the magical, imaginative experiences of childhood and the experience of living in a natural paradise rich with culture.
