It seems straightforward: everything possible must be done to prevent the sexual abuse of children. But when a powerful Florida lobbyist’s daughter is abused by a nanny, he manages to pass the toughest abuse laws in the country, and the effect is wide-ranging and unpredictable. Untouchable weaves together the stories of families torn apart by sexual predators… and the families and individuals destroyed, in some cases quite unjustly, by being on the wrong side of these laws. Forcing viewers to examine both sides of this delicate issue, Untouchable manages to suggest that there is a compassionate middle ground, and that meeting there would perhaps be the best for everyone.
