Nada (Golshifteh Farahani) is going home. Or at least she wants to. She travels back to Lebanon after living in France, and she feels like a foreigner in her own country. But, there is still a place she calls home: an abandoned house in ruins, haunted by the presence of her grandfather who disappeared mysteriously during the Lebanese civil war. It is clear that something violent happened in this house, but no one in the town will give her a straight story. Nada begins to unearth the past and discovers disturbing truths about her family, as well as her country’s past.
Director Biography
Jihane Chouaib was born in Beirut in 1976 and spent much of her childhood in Mexico. In France, she studied philosophy and theater. She was awarded the Best Short Film prize by the French Journalist Union for her film "Sous mon lit" (2005), which also screened at the Cannes Film Festival.

SYNOPSIS: The word caravan comes from ancient Persian and it refers to a procession of travelers on camelback. In this short film, the image portrayed is that of a modern-day caravan, a procession of travellers and a unique cross-section of Qatari society.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY: Suzannah Mirghani is a communications and media studies graduate and an independent filmmaker whose works highlight stories from the Gulf region. She is especially interested in exploring the wealth of multicultural encounters that occur in a traditionally cosmopolitan place like Qatar.
