Selma
Free Martin Luther King Jr. Day Screenings
Missoula MLK Day Planning Committee presents Selma at the ROXY! Selma is a story of Martin Luther King Jr. in Selma, Alabama where racism was strong and openly expressed in 1965. This story not only shows the great work of Dr. King and others, but also shows how Martin Luther King Jr.is human too. At the Roxy come join the community while we watch and have a short facilitated community discussion in the middle and end of Selma. Selma shows that in order for change to happen we as people have to be uncomfortable. Join us January 15that 11:45a.m. - 3p.m. After there will be a Youth Rally at Caras Park Downtown at 5 p.m. and a community celebration at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 6 p.m. NOTE: Selma is screening twice 01/15 at the Roxy, at 11:45 am and 7:00 pm. Both presentations are free of charge, but there will only be discussion accompanying the 11:45 am screening.
