Description

En route to the Treefort Music Fest (where they will be joining the likes of Pussy Riot, Andrew W.K., Princess Nokia, Funkadelic, etc.) two wonderful DIY bands will first grace the stage of The Roxy Theater in Missoula, MT.

Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn (Brooklyn, NY) has been creating gorgeous and wildly adventurous independent pop music since the late 1990’s.  She has released over a dozen solo and collaborative recordings on K Records, Kill Rock Stars and many more. Pitchfork lauds her “incredible voice—a versatile coo that can flit from low, sultry tones to high, airy falsetto in one breath.”

Lauren Ross, AKA La Louma, (Los Angeles, CA) is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist, singer, and producer with a soulful queer-punk ethos. A former woodwind and brass player for St. Vincent, in Nov 2017 she released her debut LP, which OUT Magazine called "a powerfully relatable 10-track breakout" and Billboard heralded as “catchy and cool, but drenched with a call to action." Missoula songsters Hermina Jean and Chris Sand will open up the show with two pugilistic and/or pastoral Montana-made sets.
