Description

Anchor is a video collage which weaves news footage of the events and reporting of Hurricane Katrina’s aftermath in New Orleans during the Summer of 2005 with that of the ongoing water crisis in Flint, Michigan, which began in 2014. This work examines the unnatural disaster of environmental racism in both its occurrence and the curated display/obscuration of its occurrence in popular mass media outlets.
