#1 position. All have been optioned for major motion pictures—including Jack
Reacher (based on One Shot) and Jack
Reacher: Never Go Back. Foreign rights in the Reacher series have sold in
one hundred territories. A native of England and a former television director,
Lee Child lives in New York City.
Child will be in conversation with Long Island author Reed Farrel Coleman. Called a hard-boiled poet by NPR’s Maureen Corrigan and the “noir poet laureate” in the Huffington Post, Reed Farrel Coleman is the New York Times bestselling author of twenty-nine novels, short stories, essays and poetry. Along with his own Moe Prager and Gus Murphy series, he writes the Jesse Stone novels for the estate of the late Robert B. Parker and has been hired by film director Michael Mann to write the prequel novel for the movie “Heat.” Reed is a four-time winner of the Shamus Award for Best Private Eye Novel of the Year and is a four-time Edgar Award nominee. He lives with his wife in Suffolk County on Long Island.
