Description

Part of the 10th Minnesota Cuban Film Festival.

Original Title: Cubanas: Mujeres en Revolución

This new film gathers stories of women of different ages and professions showing their achievements in the struggle to contribute to the Cuban Revolution from the perspective of gender equality and respect for women. The documentary has a wide range of interviews, including a grandmother in Santiago, a scientist, a doctor who has worked in humanitarian missions abroad, a student leader, and an artist. The research was conducted over a fifteen year period and demonstrates the key role that women have played in Cuba's development.
