Growing up in Serbia with cerebral palsy, Jovan escapes into the realm of his imagination where he is transformed by incredible powers to a superhero named Shade. Back in reality, Jovan is stuck in a routine of school and home life with doting parents. When a new classmate, Milica, arrives and sits next to him, Jovan's controlled existence is forever disrupted. Seeing Jovan as an accomplice, Millica invites him on a mission to free her father from his new girlfriend, whom the headstrong girl is convinced is an evil witch who has possessed him. Jovan and Millica devise a cunning plot, spending all of their out of school time preparing to catch 'the witch'. Getting away from the watchful eyes of parents and breaking out of his routines, Jovan's world opens to new possibilities. But when it's time to actually carry out the witch hunt, both kids must confront the truth about the supernatural and themselves.
Director Biography
Rasko Miljkovic was born in Belgrade in 1991 and graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts. After his student years he made short films, documentaries, commercials and music videos. His short films include Kris (2017), Save (2015), and Takes Three For a Murder (2014). The Witch Hunters is his directorial debut.
