Description

The highly anticipated second feature from the director behind the 2015 box office hit Liza, the Fox Fairy is an intense and stylish crime drama that shows how the unsettled heritage of the communist past still haunts the nation. Personal histories and a murder mystery unfold in present-day Budapest, where talented investigative detective Éva must overcome her panic attacks in order to save her country – and herself. Éva and her husband were once the best detectives the department ever had. But Éva's husband committed suicide in his office and she discovered the body. Ever since, actual crime scenes make her ill, but she's a wizard at deriving information from photographs. From her basement office in the Department of Unusual Deaths, she discovers a few too many. In these days before the national election, a serial killer is on the loose.
