Support your Local Filmmakers! Join us for The Missoula 48 Hour Film Project Competition Screenings!

The 48 Hour Film Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which filmmaking teams make a movie - write, shoot, and edit - in just 48 hours! On Friday night 5/31, teams draw a genre from a hat. They are then given a character, prop and line of dialogue to include in their films. On Sunday night 6/2, in a wild dash to the drop off event, the films are turned in - and teams celebrate!

All of these films are being screened right here at the Roxy on Sunday 6/9, in front of an audience, including the filmmakers, friends, families and film supporters.
Please join us in supporting Montana Filmmakers from across the state, who created teams, and made a film in 48 hours as part of the Missoula 48 Hour Film Project Competition!

We are screening all of the teams work on Sunday 6/9 in 2 theatres: Theatre 3 from 3:30-5:30 & Theatre 2 from 4:00-6:00pm.  Both screenings are the same block of films.  We will sell out the 3:30-5:30pm screening tickets, prior to the 4-6pm tickets going on sale.

MORE INFO ON THE FILMMAKERS & THE COMPETITION: Filmmaking teams competing in the Missoula 48 are located all across Montana, including Missoula, Hamilton, Lolo, Stevensville, Bozeman and Billings. The films are being judged by a panel of Montana film professionals. This panel will award titles for the usual categories like Best Writing, Best Direction and Best Acting, but most importantly they will determine the year's Best in City winner!

We also award an audience favorite, so everyone in attendance at the screenings will get an opportunity to vote for their audience favorite!

The Best in City winner in Missoula will then advance to Filmapalooza, the 48HFP's international Best Of event in March 2020 in Rotterdam, Netherlands! It will then go up against all the other city winners from around the world, for the coveted title of Best 48 Hour Film of 2020. The top 12-14 films from Filmapalooza will then be screened at the Short Film Corner at Cannes 2020!
