Description

Brazilian Reception, hosted by DRUMM/KNOCK, MOSTRA and the Brazil/MN Chamber of Commerce, in the Pracna Fireside Room adjacent to St. Anthony Main Theatre. The reception precedes the presentation of Brazilian film, Your Turn, which screens at 6:15pm.

This year, we are dedicating Cine Latino to Maria Gonzalez Haro, whose memory and enthusiasm for Cine Latino and all of our film programs will never fade. Maria’s husband, Joe Haro, has established a fund in Maria’s memory to support Cine Latino for years to come.

We are also immensely grateful to the individuals and community organizations collaborating with us to present Cine Latino each year, and want to thank our 2019 Cine Latino Co-Chairs Maria Antonia Calvo, Lili Hall and Paola Nunez, our Cine Global Advisory Group and our Major Sponsors Drumm/Knock, Mary Ingebrand-Pohlad for the inspiring enthusiasm and energy they bring to the program.

We see these growing partnerships with so many representatives of the diverse Spanish-speaking communities here in MN and abroad as a testament to the cultural importance of this unique annual celebration of Latin American and Iberian cinema.
