The Lighthouse

Winslow's new career as an 1890's lighthouse keeper isn't going so well. His new boss, Wake, is curmudgeonly to say the least. Being alone on an island is enough to drive anyone mad, and Wake works alone most of the time. It turns out having one more person around doesn't help much. Wake forces Winslow to do all the menial and undesirable work while he himself gets the reward of tending to the light. But they have larger problems than being forced to live with a coworker they can't stand - a storm hits the island, their rations destroyed, and no means of escape, madness bubbles to the surface.

The film is getting rave reviews for its stars Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson. Already on many top ten lists, it is a solid bet for some Oscar nods.
