In this stirring documentary, Nikol Pashinyan, journalist and politician, stands up against Armenia’s Republican Party as they try to keep their leader, Serzh Sargsyan in power through whatever means possible by trying to subvert term limits.

This documentary about the 2018 Armenian revolution focuses on Pashinyan, as he decides to march alone for two-weeks from Gyumri to Yerevan's Liberty Square, a journey of over 100 kilometers. As he does, he calls attention to this outrageous power grab, and is soon joined by more and more of his countrymen. This set off a series of crucial demonstrations that would eventually force Sargsyan to resign his illegal third term. Featuring interviews with members of both parties (including Sargsyan himself), camerawork from his own crew and from bystanders, I Am Not Alone is at once fair, shot through with purpose, and thought-provoking. “One of my favorite films this year!” --Collider
