Description

MSP Film Presents Burning Bright: New French Filmmakers 2020!

While we are unable to host our annual Lumières Françaises festival in the theater, we are thrilled to bring you an exciting program of new French cinema to enjoy from the comfort of your home! We are partnering with the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF), UniFrance and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States, and Kino Lorber to present Burning Bright: New French Filmmakers 2020!

Watching the Burning Bright films directly supports MSP Film, thank you! Special thanks to FIAF, Burning Bright is curated by FIAF Film Curator Delphine Selles-Alvarez with Louise Bertin and Louise Masson.

About the Film

This debut feature film by director Stéphane Batut centers around Juste, who can see dead people. He wanders the streets of Paris, escorting the ghosts he encounters into the afterlife after collecting their last memory. But Juste’s liminal existence is thrown into jeopardy when a young woman named Agathe recognizes him, and he falls madly and illicitly in love with her.
