Audrey Hepburn and Givenchy
Audrey Hepburn
has been synonymous with style and grace since Roman Holiday in 1953. But it wasn't until the movie Sabrina (1954) when she became a style
icon. That is all thanks to the wonderful clothing of renowned designer Hubert
de Givenchy. Through their friendship and work relationship Audrey and
Hubert made women all over the world feel beautiful, and in their own lives
they developed a bond that would last until her death in 1993. Through this
lecture, costume designer and fashion historian Jolene Marie Richardson,
will explore how this iconic pair came about, through the years how they shaped
the landscape of fashion and movie making, and how both have left a lasting
impact long after their deaths.
