Director Biography

Rosario BrucatoRosario Brucato was born on November 23, 1983 in Nicosia (Italy). During the last years of elementary school he began to be interested in cinema with a focus on Hitchcockian suspense. He soon began studying cinema, even self-taught. He graduated in Arts, Music and Performing Arts, presenting a thesis on Hitchcock’s filmography. After, he continued his studies in Performing Arts and Multimedia Production Sciences, which he concluded with the highest grade. In 2017 he wrote, directed and edited The Different Being, a zero-budget short film, initially born as an exercise, later the filmmaker decided to present it in some festivals and was distributed by Amazon Prime Video. In 2020 he wrote, directed and edited The Vanishing Hitchhiker, freely inspired by the homonymous urban legend. He has won at various Hollywood festivals as best director and at various international festivals as best filmmaker.
