“Ben is here. Here inside of me.” With these words, Margaret’s life begins to unravel. A successful executive, with a daughter about to go to college, she is living the dream. Until David reappears in her life, reminding her of a past so insane it beggars description.
Rebecca Hall is Margaret, a pharmaceutical executive, whose life of discipline has led to incredible success. Her daughter is brilliant and off to college; the employees beneath her and the executives above admire her. Enter David (Tim Roth), who begins to appear everywhere, tailing her at a distance and reminding her of a vicious incident that no one–not even her daughter–can believe. Hall and Roth are mesmerizing in writer-director Andrew Semans’ stunning film. “[A]n unsettling tale of psychological torment and the kind of creeping dread and shocking climax that hallmarks some of the best horror.” –Lou Thomas, Time Out
