When a pandemic causes worldwide amnesia, Aris arrives at the “Disturbed Memory Department”. He is Number 14842, and is told to wait for his family. But if this virus has made him completely forget them, won’t they have completely forgotten him?
Aris (Aris Servetalis) is a middle-aged man, struck with the amnesia that has seemingly wiped away the human population’s memory. In the Disturbed Memory Department, he is given tasks on cassette tape, in the hopes he will either recover his old memories, or create new ones that he photographs. During his daily activities, he meets Anna (Sofia Georgovassili), a fellow amnesiac, and together they create a new adolescence, one that may actually transcend the lives they left behind. “Apples is subtle throughout, but delivers a complex existential journey with deep meaning.” --Randy Myers, San Jose Mercury News
