About the Film
Starring Minnesota's own Barkhad Abdirahman (Captain Phillips, Fargo), Ayaanle is the story of a 21-year-old Somali man named Ayaanle, living in Nairobi who aspires to become a world famous actor and reach Hollywood. Despite coming from an impoverished background, he remains optimistic about his dream of making it in the film industry and hopes to emulate his hero Denzel Washington. His life is turned upside down after a series of unlikely and unfortunate events which catapult him into a dramatic showdown with nefarious characters, corrupt police and anti terror unit.
