Moonage Daydream
Moonage Daydream | 140mins |
Brett Morgen's Moonage Daydream is a shapeshifting epiphany-slash-freakout of a documentary for the lovers of all things David Bowie (or just Bowie curious). It's a glorious celebratory montage of archive material, live performance footage, Bowie's own experimental video art and paintings, movie and stage work and interviews with various TV personalities with whom Bowie is always polite, open and charming.
David Bowie was a man of a thousand personas (or at least a dozen) and a chameleon-like reputation. Always immersed in and ready for "the media" he left a trail of documentation going back to the late sixties for us to decode what this stange vistor, possibly from another planet, was trying to say to us.
Also, lots of good music. Check it out.
