Christopher Mathias is a senior reporter at HuffPost
where he covers right-wing extremism and civil unrest. He covered the deadly
“Unite The Right” rally in Charlottesville; was kicked out of a Steve King
campaign event; and was wrongly arrested by the NYPD while covering an anti-racist
uprising. He's exposed the white nationalist ties of congressmen, congressional
candidates, U.S. servicemen, cops, a prison guard, an EMT, and two teachers.
Originally from
Gettysburg, Pa., he now lives in New York City.
Michael Edison Hayden serves as a Senior
Investigative Reporter and Spokesperson for Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC),
where he publishes stories about online radicalization, social media
influencers and authoritarianism. His work as an investigative reporter has
also been published in The New York Times,
The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, National Geographic, and Los
Angeles Times, among other publications. He is a three-time grantee of the
Pulitzer Center on Crisis reporting and he authored Columbia University’s guide
to OSINT reporting in 2019.
Patrick Riccards is
chief executive officer of Life After Hate, a leader in the violence intervention
community and the first nonprofit in the United States dedicated to helping
individuals disengage from violent far-right hate groups and hateful online
spaces.
Pat is also the founder of the Driving Force Institute for
Public Engagement, a national effort transforming the teaching and learning of
American history and civics through provocative, relevant video content. He is
a former university Vice President and served as the chief communications and
strategy officer for the Woodrow Wilson Foundation. He has held numerous senior
leadership positions in the education and community engagement spaces. Patrick
regularly speaks on the intersections of policy, research, media, and
engagement and is the author or ghost author of work that has appeared in hundreds
of publications, including USA Today, Washington Post, New York Times, and
Education Week.
