Asan moves to a small village in Kyrgyzstan with his sister and mother. There, Asan becomes friends with two boys, and all three of them play and carry on and share their emotions–for each boy’s family has its own set of challenges.. But soon, tensions mount, and Asan and his friends must navigate the many complications of their lives as they grow up fast. This third feature film by Aibek Daiyrbekov is a sweeping and moving coming-of-age story.
Director Biography
Aibek Daiyrbekov attended Kyrgyz National University and studied film directing at the Cinematography Development Foundation of Kyrgyzstan. He is the director of the feature films The Song of the Tree (2018) is the first musical movie made in Kyrgyzstan, and The Scent of Wormwood (2022).
