The Long Island Roller Rebels are Long Island’s first
flat-track roller derby league, celebrating 18 years in 2023. We are a non-profit
organization run by individuals who are also league members. The Long Island
Roller Rebels are a member of the Women’s
Flat Track Roller Derby Association (WFTDA), the sport’s foremost governing
body with more than 360 member leagues. We compete for international rankings
sanctioned by the WFTDA. In addition to skaters, league members also include
referees and non-skating officials (NSOs) who help keep chaos at bay. We also
receive crucial support from a host of dedicated volunteers such as announcers,
EMTs, trainers, and photographers. We support our community and each other and
pride ourselves on advancing the sport of flat track roller derby.
