About:
Legendary Mountain drummer Corky Laing returns to his beloved Nantucket for a one-off performance at The Dreamland on Oct 20, 2023. For this show, Corky is joined on stage with his musician friends from the island and guitarist Richie Scarlet. Together they will take their audience on an unforgettable Nantucket Sleighride.

Nantucket has a very special place in Corky’s heart. During the late 60s, Corky’s early bands, Bartholomew +3 and Energy had summer residencies at the 30 Acres club. Several of the songs written during those years later found their way to Mountain’s million selling albums. In the 70s, when Corky’s career really took off, first in Mountain and then in West, Bruce and Laing, and then, Mountain again, he lived on the island. The ocean, the nature and the elements provided a perfect refuge from the craziness of his life on the road, and the company of the artists (writers, painters and sculptors) residing on the island provided further nourishment for his soul. In the early 80s, Corky left the island and to this day, regrets selling his home there. But the island never left him. For Corky, coming to Nantucket is always like coming home.
