The irresistible Clara Bow was at the height of her popularity when she made this outstanding comedy with Hollywood’s leading female director, Dorothy Arzner. Set in Paris, Clara Bow plays Nancy Worthington, an American tourist, who meets the noble Robert de Bellecontre when they are accidentally locked in a museum overnight. And despite Robert’s arranged engagement to the aristocratic Simone de Villeneuve, they are in love by the next morning. When she learns of the engagement, she plots and schemes to get her man! Also included in the program will be a screening of the recently rediscovered short film 'The Pill Pounder' - which has previous been lost for over 100 years!

In 'The Pill Pounder' a druggist who hosts a “card parlor” in the back room of his pharmacy for gambling. Aside from cheating at a poker game, the druggist mixes up labels on his medicine bottles and mistakenly believes he has administered poison to his customers, frightening a 17-year-old Clara Bow.
