Lorenzo Daniele’s illuminating documentary explores the life of Marta Abba, the muse and leading actress for the Nobel award-winning Italian playwright Luigi Pirandello (Six Characters in Search of an Author), through the eyes of actress Margherita Peluso. The starting point for the film, which features the actress retracing Abba's footsteps in Italy and Princeton, was a dense correspondence between the two that reveals his tormented passion for the Milanese actress, who with her interpretations was able to spread and promote Pirandello's theatre throughout the world.
