Throughout the class, dancers will continually engage with two fundamental tenets of rhythm tap dance including the importance of musicality and the embodiment of the Africanist aesthetic. Participants without tap shoes can wear jazz or ballet shoes, go barefoot, or wear other hard-soled shoes.
