Teeming with action, romance and comedy, The School for Good and Evil introduces us to a brand new generation of storybook characters who seek the truth between beauty and ugliness, good and evil, and life and death. At the School for Good and Evil, ordinary boys and girls are trained to become either extraordinary fairy tale heroes or nefarious villains. When best friends Sophie and Agatha are kidnapped from their village and taken to the academy, Sophie expects to join the ranks of former School of Good students like Cinderella and Snow White, while the homely Agatha prepares to enter the School of Evil. But the girls find their fortunes switched, and Sophie ends up in courses like "Uglification" and "Death Curses," while Agatha enjoys classes in "Princess Etiquette" and "Animal Communication."

Join Soman Chainani, emerging screenwriter and graduate of the MFA Film Program at Columbia University, as he reads from the first book in The School for Good and Evil series. He will also conduct a Q&A session about the novel and discuss his process for creating an immersive fantasy world with modern adaptations of historical folk tales. This event is great for kids age eight and up, and especially for book lovers of all ages.

The first installment of the fantasy trilogy comes out in Spring 2013, but this interactive book preview will help bring The School for Good and Evil to life even sooner, with pictures, video and much more!
