DOUBLE FEATURE!
It’s been years since Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez unleashed their homage to the blood-soaked exploitation epics of the 60s and 70s with a double feature punctuated by a collection of outrageous trailers. Rodriguez’s Planet Terror and Tarantino’s Death Proof feature wild stories about a zombie-infestation, a go-go dancer with a machine gun for a prosthetic leg, a psychopathic stunt driver, and the grimy texture of a beloved genre.

Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez joined forces years ago to pay homage to the blood-soaked exploitation epics of the 60s and 70s with two hyper-violent films punctuated by a collection of outrageous trailers. The first segment, Rodriguez’s Planet Terror, details the struggle of a rag-tag group of survivors fending off an onslaught of zombie-like creatures. Leading the pack is a go-go dancer played by Rose McGowan who splatters the zombies dead with her machine gun – that also serves as her prosthetic leg! The second segment, Tarantino’s Death Proof, follows a psychopathic stuntman played by Kurt Russell who prefers to take out his beautiful female victims at 200 mph. With a list of potential roadkill candidates that includes Zoë Bell, Uma Thurman’s stunt double on Kill Bill, Death Proof takes viewers on an adrenaline-infused drive that’s as sexy as it is shocking. The fake trailers interspersed throughout the films were directed by Rob Zombie, Edgar Wright, Eli Roth, and Jason Eisner.
