The last guitar designed by Paco de Lucía, the genius from Algeciras, soars from Mallorca, Jerez de la Frontera and Lisbon to the US and Latin America, keeping alive the magic of its master. Grammy-winning producer Javier Limón - in collaboration with Jorge Martínez and Iberia - pay tribute to a Flamenco music giant. "La Maestro," as the guitar is known, flies from hand to hand; from those of Carlinhos Brown to those of Alejandro Sanz, stopping off at Tomatito's or those of Muñequitos de Matanzas in Cuba, delivering anecdotes, nostalgia and a treasure trove of music along the way. Also featuring Chabuco, Ruben Rada and the great Caetano Veloso among other Latin luminaries, CGAC presents The Flight of the Guitar as prelude to the Flamenco Legends: Paco de Lucía Project live concert at the Olympia on Sunday, October 29, that reunites producer Limón with Paco's hand-picked bandmates for a glorious hurrah.
