“A blunt-force artist with the soul of a poet, McDonagh is not afraid of adding salt to an open wound; more importantly, he offers no easy answers, outside a hint of forgiveness. Thanks to him and his firebrand star, Three Billboards is more is a no-brainer awards contender – it's a renegade masterpiece that will get you good.” - Peter Travers, Rolling Stone

“McDormand is something to behold.” - David Edelstein, Vulture

“The film belongs to McDormand...This character is so completely, fully realized in ways that other actresses couldn’t have come anywhere close to capturing. It’s stunning to watch.” - Brian Tallerico, rogerebert.com

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is a darkly comedic drama from Academy Award® winner Martin McDonagh (IN BRUGES). After months have passed without a culprit following her daughter’s brutal murder,, Mildred Hayes (Frances McDormand, in arguably her best performance since her Academy Award® winning turn in FARGO) makes a bold move, commissioning three billboards leading into her town with a controversial message directed at William Willoughby (Woody Harrelson), the town's revered chief of police. When his second-in-command Officer Dixon (Sam Rockwell), an immature mother’s boy with a penchant for violence, gets involved, the battle between Mildred and Ebbing's law enforcement is only exacerbated.
