When their mother never resurfaces after a deep water dive into chilly Spirit Lake, daughters Annie, June and Isa return to their mother's Iowa lakeside home. As the sisters investigate the circumstances surrounding their mothers deathe and decide what to do with the now empty house, June records their homecoming, Isa starts a relationship with a neighbor and Annie grapples with her unresolved estrangement from their mother. As this docu-drama style film, shot entirely on West Lake Okoboji, IA unfolds, the mysteries of the lake and the ghost of their mother begin to haunt the sisters.
